So how can remote sensing methods help fill this gap and lead us to sustainability? The symposium offers the opportunity to EARSeL and non-EARSeL members to interact and present preliminary research between the dedicated Special Interest Groups (SIG) workshops that are organised every two years. It is a great opportunity for all interested parties to expose their research to an international scientific community. The topics addressed in each annual symposium are related to the EARSeL's Special Interest Groups, as well as contemporary topics of high interest.
